We conducted side-by-side tests with all major water effects lights priced under $3K.
These lights included: ADJ H20/ H20 PRO, Chauvet ABYSS 2.0/3.0/USB and 2 GENERIC WATER RIPPLE LIGHTS.
The Chauvet Abyss USB was notably superior.

WHAT MAKES THEM BETTER?
If you are intending to emulate an underwater environment, or have a discerning eye towards the quality of atmosphere you are trying to create, you will appreciate the difference these fixtures make over their competition. While not quite as effective as much more expensive high-end options, they are the only fixture that creates a BRIGHT, WIDE ANGLE effect that actually resembles water ripples, with a clear directional movement and organic quality. Other fixture’s produced an effect that reminded of us of a common DJ dance floor lighting effects, not an emulation of water. This critique is echoed in online reviews.

HOW MANY WILL I NEED?
There are a many factors for you to consider. What type of effect are you trying to create? How large is the space? Are you able to control ambient lighting? Contact David for guidance. 

WILL YOU RENT AN ODD NUMBER OR SINGLE LIGHT?
We have learned through experience that most installations work best in multiples of 2, which is why we rent them as such. That said, there are certainly exceptions, and we’re happy to discuss a customized arrangement for rentals longer than 2 weeks.

DO YOU OFFER DISCOUNTS FOR LONGER TERMS?
If you require the lights for many weeks, such as an extended run of a show, we should be able to offer you a reasonable quote.

DO THEY MAKE ANY NOISE?
Yes, their onboard fan’s are quiet enough to be unobtrusive or entirely unheard in even small theatrical venues. 

DO THEY COME WITH ANY MOUNTING HARDWARE?
Yes, each has a simple 2″ truss clamp. The fixture’s bracket also functions as an effective floor mount when used in protected locations.

HOW LONG WILL MY RENTAL TAKE TO ARRIVE?
We are currently located in Michigan. Please schedule far enough in advance to avoid rush shipping charges. All rentals will ship via UPS Ground to arrive on the first date of your rental. All rentals must be in the possession of UPS with the included return label by the final day of your rental term.
